Britain's leader plans to press supporting countries to supply Ukrainian forces with further extended-range weaponry to hit Russian targets during a meeting in Britain on Friday.

The prime minister is set to welcome Ukrainian President Zelensky alongside the so-called "coalition of the willing", including over twenty of Kyiv's partners who have committed to grant Kyiv security guarantees once hostilities pause is brokered.

The Ukrainian leader has been pleading for an extended period for further long-range weapons from allied countries, a move that Russia has stated would escalate the conflict.

President Zelensky is coming from Belgium, where he met EU leaders on the previous day requesting funding aid.
