I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
